Jr High Tool Time
April 14th - April 15th, 2018
An overnight event geared toward 7-8th grade students at Concordia University Ann Arbor.
This year's theme is East to West -Psalm 103:12.
Students will engage in small group time, large group sessions, a servant event, campus dining, games and fellowship!
Please answer all fill-ins as well as complete both forms (SOTL liability and CUAA release)

Our 2018 grads will be recognized at the END OF BOTH SERVICES. Please plan to attend the 11am service for this celebration.
Students are asked to meet Julie Alie in the commons to check-in and enter the worship center together:
8:30 am service - during the final song or at 9:10am
11 am service - during final song

Junior High Youth Gathering
June 1st - June 3rd, 2018
WHO: Junior High Youth (Current 6-7th graders)
WHAT: We will leave together from church on Friday (those in the SOTL school musical will depart following the event with a designated chaperone). Youth will engage with other Michigan District LCMS junior high students through mass gatherings, games, activities, devotions and a servant project. The weekend will be centered around the theme, HIM “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen” -Romans 11:36. We will return to church around noon on Sunday.
WHERE: Bavarian Inn Lodge 1 Covered Bridge Ln Frankenmuth, MI 48734
COST: $150 per person; includes event registration, transportation, lodging, meals and t-shirt.

REGISTRATION: A form can be downloaded here (or picked up at the youth booth in the commons) and returned to the youth mailbox at the youth booth.
PAYMENT: A $50 per person nonrefundable deposit is due NO LATER THAN March 18. You also may pay in full. Please complete payment during online registration or make checks out to SOTL and put in the mailbox at the youth booth. A balance of $100 is due on May 13, 2018.
Sr High Mission Trip
June 24th - June 29th, 2018
We are excited to announce that our Mission Trip for 2018 is a Servant Event through the LCMS Texas District. We are eager to serve as a relief effort in the city of Beaumont, following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017.
With the guidance of enthusiastic church leaders and volunteers of Concordia Lutheran Church and LCMS Texas district, our students will be guided through a week of service to the community of Beaumont, sightsee in the surrounding area and worship together. Students will be housed and fed at Concordia Lutheran church.
Students and chaperones will be traveling via Delta Airlines Sunday, June 24 after a send-off service at 11am worship. We will work Monday – Thursday and depart Friday evening via Delta Airlines.
This trip is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience serving those in need, sharing the love of Christ and spending fellowship time with one another.
Here are the details specific to SOTL: Who: For students who are in 8th – 12th grade in the 2017-2018 school year. Date: June 24-29, 2018 Cost: The cost will be $250 per student plus spending money
Deadlines: A non-refundable $100 deposit and filled out registration form is due by January 28. The balance of $150 will be due May 20, 2018. Some financial assistance is available; please contact Julie Alie at (810)227-5099 for information.
Fundraising: We will have many fundraisers to help with the cost of the trip. If you commit to going you MUST participate in the designated fundraisers. If you do not, then the cost of your trip will be increased. Details and signups will be sent via email and social media, please keep your eyes peeled!
Confirmation Registration 2018-19
May 11th, 2019
All incoming 7th-8th students are required to register here for the 2018-19 school year. Fees may be paid online or turned into the church office.
8th grade fees: $50 covers all confirmation dues (workbook, gown, certificate, and class gift)
7th grade fees: $20 covers confirmation workbook
Please answer all applicable questions and read 'commitment of confirmation' below before moving on.
Commitment of Confirmation
1) I will strive to be open-minded and trust my church leaders and pastors.
2) I will be an active participant during the confirmation year. This means, in part, that I will strive to make all classes, not just the ones that are most convenient for me to make.
3) I recognize that there will be some homework as a part of this learning experience. I will work on the material with my child.
4) I want my child to have a real and active faith that they wish to proclaim publicly. If I am concerned about their sincerity, I will consult with the pastor.
5) If I am not currently a member of Shepherd of the Lakes I will be asked to meet with the pastor to determine the best course for my Christian growth, as well as my child.
